“After my own family’s experience with a challenging birth, receiving this work helped us to process and integrate the events and to allow for healing and deepening the bond for our whole family.”

Helping baby's system ease

What is Craniosacral therapy?

The intention of Craniosacral Therapy is to facilitate the health that is present in the systems of parents and children. It enhances the body’s own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities.

Rose and her colleagues supported my son to tell his birth story through the breast crawl and helped to improve his latch which was being impacted by tightness along one side of his body.”

why craniosacral therapy is great for babies

A gentle Craniosacral touch eases physical strains and calms a baby’s nervous system.

An infant’s primary needs - attachment, feeding, sleeping and digesting - may be disrupted due to emotional upsets and interventions during their gestation and/or birth.

By acknowledging that babies remember their experiences on a sentient level, we offer an opportunity for them to somatically express and resolve their experience and feelings. Parents witness and appreciate this communication.

during pregnancy

Craniosacral sessions give parents the opportunity to make a profound connection with their unborn child. The gentle Craniosacral touch brings greater physical ease to the pregnant body.

As babies are “hitchhikers” on their mother’s nervous system, they gain huge benefits when mom’s nervous system is soothed and balanced during pregnancy - and postnatally. The sessions support parents to approach labour and delivery with strength, confidence and vitality.

Postpartum benefits for parents

We support recovery from birth for parents and baby. Physical and emotional strains and tension can be released. We can help parents feeling the stresses of caring for a newborn, tap into a sense of inner strength and energy. We bring awareness to the attachment process and developmental milestones.

I came because I felt disconnected from my body, my baby and my husband. After the re-enactment and re-imagining of our birth story, I felt more embodied, a deeper bond with my baby and reconnected with my husband.
